Singers lay a bridge for peace in Colombia-Venezuela border

(El Universal) Singers Juanes, Juan Luis Guerra, Carlos Vives, Juan Fernando Velasco, Alejandro Sanz, Miguel Bosé and Ricardo Montaner are to participate in a free concert next Sunday in the Colombia-Venezuela border.

"The concert's name is Peace Without Borders, and we are going to perform right between the two countries, on the Simón Bolívar Bridge," Tuesday announced Juanes, a Colombian.

"The place we chose is something symbolic. It does not mean that this is intended to promote peace between Colombia and Venezuela only. The border means the border of all countries. It is literally at the border, for everybody to be there and support this cause," said the musician born in Medellín and the major promoter of the concert.

Shakira, Ricky Martin and Franco De Vita are yet to confirm their participation, Juanes added. Some 400,000 people are expected to attend the concert.

The bridge will serve as a concert stage, with 2 side views for around 400.000 persons that could assist the concert from both sides, Colombia & Venezuela. This TOTALLY FREE concert will also be broadcasted live on tv. If I'm not wrong, you could be able to watch the concert following this link
http://www.livetvcenter.com/rcn_tv_204.asp. At RCN site you could watch it if you are in Colombia (or if you can configure your PC and Internet conexion as if...)

On Colombia side, everything is clean, the terrain was prepared, even Colombian Army soldiers have collaborated, on Venezuela side, nothing, Chavez regime has doing nothing.
